Investec Wealth & Investment (IW&I) has named Cameron Kinnaird as new senior investment director for its Glasgow office.

In his new role, Kinnaird will report to divisional director Stuart Light.

Cameron, who has 27 years of experience in managing portfolios for private clients and families, joined the firm from Brewin Dolphin, where he served as divisional director.

He started his career in Glasgow at Parsons & Co, where he worked as a UK equity dealer prior to a two-year spell in London with an inter-dealer broker.

Kinnaird said: "Investec Wealth & Investment has an excellent reputation in Scotland and I’m delighted to be joining the firm. I am confident that my considerable experience in the regional wealth industry will help the firm grow its client base and market share even further."

IW&I Glasgow divisional director Stuart Light said: "He has an exceptional level of experience in managing portfolios. His appointment builds on IW&I’s recent successes in expanding investment teams in Scotland and across several of our UK offices."
