HSBC Private Banking has named Mark Winterflood as the new head of its Luxembourg business, replacing Anthony Simcic who is leaving the bank.

Winterflood will take up the new role on 5 February 2018 and report to HSBC Private Bank (Suisse) CEO and regional head of global private banking Europe international and MENA, Franco Morra, and HSBC Luxembourg country CEO, Lars Rejding.

Winterflood has been working at HSBC for 22 years, most recently as the global head of pricing at HSBC Private Banking.

His previously held various client-facing and senior positions across the Middle East, Asia and Europe. Winterflood will now have a seat on HSBC Luxembourg’s executive committee.

“Under Mark’s leadership, the private banking subsidiary in Luxembourg will continue to work closely with HSBC’s Commercial Banking and Global Banking businesses in Continental Europe to deliver on the strategy of serving the personal wealth needs of the owners and principals of HSBC’s corporate clients,” the bank said.
