HSBC hires new philanthropic and family governance specialist

HSBC Private Banking, Americas has named Carly McKeeman as its new philanthropic and family governance specialist.

Based in New York, McKeeman will spearhead the development of the firm’s philanthropy and family governance services.

In order to strengthen the local capabilities of the business in this area, she will collaborate with HSBC Global Private Wealth Solutions Group leaders.

In the new role, she will report to the firm’s regional head of private wealth solutions Heather Flanagan.

McKeeman most recently worked at Evercore Wealth Management, with responsibility for offering investment management and fiduciary planning to UHNW families.

In her charitable planning and administration career of more than a decade, she also served at Fiduciary Trust and Columbia Law School.

“We are thrilled to welcome Carly to the team. Her knowledge and expertise will prove instrumental as we enhance and develop charitable planning solutions for our private banking clients, tailored to their unique values and needs. Additionally, our clients are more frequently asking for Family Governance services and Carly’s deeply engrained experience and skillset will help us bring our offering to a superior level of service in this growing area,” Flanagan noted.

Earlier this year, the firm launched its US-Asia Corridor team that consists of wealth management professionals with personal ties to Asian culture.
