HSBC Global AM appoints new Swedish business head

HSBC Global Asset Management has poached Fredrik Cygnaeus from American asset manager Invesco to serve as managing director of its Swedish branch.

In his new role, Cygnaeus will be responsible for further building the firm’s client-centric business across the Nordic region, together with sales manager, Kim Lindberg.

At Invesco, he acted as head of external wholesale sales for the Nordic region. Prior to that, he served as sales director at Fidelity in Stockholm.

Commenting on Cygnaeus appointment, HSBC Global Asset Management CEO in France Matteo Pardi said: “The Nordic region is an important market for us and we have been present in Sweden since 2004. Fredrik’s hire will help us look forward to the next phase of growth”.

HSBC Global Asset Management manages a network of offices in approximately 26 countries and territories across the globe.
