HD Vest Financial Services, a Texas-based provider of tax-smart wealth management services, has appointed Chau Nguyen Haner as its new head of marketing.

Based in Texas, Haner will be responsible for improving adviser communications, lead-generation efforts, and client relationships.

In addition, she will also oversee the adviser recruitment process at the firm. In the new role, she will report to Blucora chief marketing officer Mathieu Stevenson. Blucora is the parent of HD Vest.

Haner has an experience of 18 years in the industry, which includes a stint of over eight years at LPL Financial. She most recently served as the firm’s assistant vice president of marketing.

She previously also worked as the marketing manager at the Optical Society of America and senior marketing specialist at the State Department Federal Credit Union.

“Chau brings a strategic mindset to her work, but she’s also not afraid to roll up her sleeves and help advisers implement solutions we provide. Chau shares our dedication to empowering advisors with the tools and support they need to increase assets under management and improve their client retention. We are glad she has joined our organisation,” Stevenson said.
