Guardian Wealth Management has, reportedly, named Hamza Shalchi as new manager of its Dubai office.

Shalchi replaces Chris Ferguson who left last month, International Adviser has reported.

The new appointment coincides with Guardian Wealth Management being granted a license by the Emirates Securities and Commodities Authority.

Guardian director Leighton Jones said: "This is a great time for Hamzah to take over the Dubai office and I am sure his experience, knowledge and enthusiasm will play a major role in the continuing success of the business.

"He has a great track record and has specific skills in dealing with clients from the USA who are based here in Dubai," the publication quoted Jones as saying.
