Specialist asset manager Gresham House has named Heather Fleming as its head of institutional business, a newly created position.

Based in London, Fleming will initially focus on the British Strategic Investment fund, and will later also oversee the development of the firm’s broader institutional client offering and fundraising capability.

She will work alongside the firm’s head of distribution Michael Hart, and will report to Gresham House Asset Management managing director Rupert Robinson.

Fleming previously served as the head of institutional distribution for UK and Ireland at Fidelity International, where she spent over seven years.

Before joining Fidelity, she worked for eight years at Capital International, with responsibility for client relationships in the UK, Denmark, and Iceland.

Fleming’s financial services career of over 20 years also includes stints at BankInvest and NatWest Investment Management / Gartmore.
