GoldenTree Asset Management opens office in Sydney

GoldenTree Asset Management, an institutional asset manager based in New York, has expanded its Asian footprint by establishing a new office in Sydney, Australia.

The firm appointed Russell Taylor as managing director of the newly launched Sydney office.

Taylor most recently served at JP Morgan as managing director and head of institutional sales for Australia and New Zealand. During his tenure of over three decades at JP Morgan, he held key management and sales positions covering credit derivatives, structured credit, securitization, loans and rates.

GoldenTree partner and head of business development Kathy Sutherland said: “Australia has long been an important market for GoldenTree and we are pleased to establish an on-the-ground presence in the region, which we believe will offer significant benefits to our investors.”
