Fund Channel, a Luxembourg-based cross-border fund distribution platform, has extended its presence in Asia by opening a subsidiary in Singapore.

The new office will offer support services to distributors of Asian funds for the management of distribution contracts with asset managers.

Fund Channel will offer various services including, regulatory monitoring, optimising revenues by assisting them in the calculation, monitoring and commission payments for the distribution of funds.

Through its Singapore office, the firm aims to reach €5bn in assets distributed within four years.

Fund Channel managing director Richard Lepère said: “We are specialised in services for distributors who wish to maintain full control in their choice of product distributed whatever their choice of fund manager, but also their order routing and custodian services.

"We simplify the legal work required for implementing distribution agreements, monitor regulatory requirements and apply a systematic process to deliver over 90 per cent of the distribution fees within 90 days following the quarter-end.”

Fund Channel is a joint venture owned by Amundi and BNP Paribas Investment. The company supports more than 100 distributors operating in 12 countries, and its business-to-business (B2B) distribution platform administers nearly 45,000 funds from over 400 management firms.
