Investment banking advisory firm Evercore has appointed Shane Gong as a managing director within its Private Capital Advisory (PCA) group.
Gong is in charge of the firm’s Asia Pacific PCA operations, with responsibility for institutional investors and fund sponsors.
In the new capacity, he operates out of Singapore.
Gong joins Evercore from CPE Capital (previously called CHAMP Private Equity), where he served as the executive director and head of the Singapore office.
He managed regional direct growth and buyout investments, investor relations along with fundraising at CPE.
His two-decade-long financial career also includes stints at N.M. Rothschild & Sons as the head of Asian Consumer Sector M&A as well as at Macquarie Group.

Evercore was set up in 1995 and is based in New York.
