Davy Asset Management, a subsidiary of Ireland-based Davy Group, has poached former Fidelity head of distribution Phil Jefferson as a company director.
Jefferson, who has over three decades of experience, is currently a principal at Jconsult (Europe). He has also held senior roles at Fidelity Investments, First State, Henderson and JPMorgan Asset Management.
Additionally, the firm has hired Jeremy Humphries as a fund manager for its global equity investment team.
Prior to joining Davy, Humphries worked with the Schroders’ Quantitative Equity Products team in London and in the Pioneer Investments’ Global quantitative research team.
Davy Asset Management chief executive Paul Giblin said: "Phil’s extensive experience and achievements across the UK institutional, wholesale and retail investor market will be a great asset and provide a sounding board to our business as we continue to grow in the UK and Europe.
"Jeremy will play an important role in our now 9 strong global equity fund management team, where performance across the funds continues to out-perform the peer group average."
