Dalton Strategic Partnership has appointed Fumio Matsumoto for its Melchior Japan equity team in Tokyo.

In his new role, Matsumoto will support the team, which is comprised of portfolio manager Akira Yoshimi and four analysts.

This unit oversees US$1.2 billion in assets which includes the Melchior Japan Advantage and the Melchior Selected Trust Japan Advantage funds.

Most recently, Matsumoto served as a fund manager and managed Japanese equities at T&D Asset Management. He has also worked at Mizuho Securities as a mid and small cap analyst.
