Credit Suisse’s asset management division is
to offer offshore investors access to Indian investments through a
partnership with Indian asset management company HDFC.

Credit Suisse will distribute HDFC’s
investment products outside of India.

In return, HDFC will be the Swiss private
bank’s exclusive partner for long-term asset management services in
India.

The strategic deal also involves new product
offerings for international investors interested in India.

The managing director and chief executive of
HDFC Asset Management, Milind Barve, said that the allegiance will
enable the company to meet growing investment demands from offshore
investors.

Credit Suisse’s asset management business
manages portfolios, mutual funds and other investments for private
clients as well as institutions.
