Credit Suisse has launched a digital private banking app for its wealth management clients in the UK.

The bank said that the app will offer clients round-the-clock access to their portfolios and allow them to respond to market developments using data from the bank’s investment strategy and research library.

Through the app, clients will be able to get view their portfolio groups and portfolio level performances, positions, allocations, transactions and cash activities; latest global asset class performances; access Credit Suisse Investment Strategy & Research publications; and news from third-party providers.

At the same time, the app will also offer clients a watchlist to help them track equities, bonds, commodities, currencies and funds.

The new app can initially be accessed only on the iPad, but will be later available on other devices such as iPhones and web browsers.

The bank also unveiled plans to launch new features such as e-documents and multi-device capabilities in phases.

The launch of the private banking app in the UK marks its first expansion outside of Asia. In March 2015, Credit Suisse first launched the digital private banking platform in Singapore and in June 2016 launched it in Hong Kong.

“There has been intense collaboration between the bank’s innovation hub in Singapore, IWM COO and CS UK to ensure a successful integration into the UK landscape,” the bank said.
