Citi Private Bank has expanded its Preferred Custody and Escrow group on the West coast.
Luda Semenova and Raafat Sarkis have joined the firm as directors, based in Los Angeles and San Francisco respectively, and will both report to Kerry Gibson, Western region market manager.
Semenova joins from Wells Fargo in Los Angeles where she most recently held the position of vice president of corporate trust services. Sarkis joins Citi from Wells Fargo also, but from its San Francisco office where he was also vice president of corporate trust services.
Naz Vahid, head of Law Firm Group, Citi Private Bank, said: "Expanding our market share in the M&A escrow field is a key priority for our business and the best way to provide the most effective service for our West coast law firm clients is to give them direct access to our staff locally. Luda and Raafat’s many years of combined experience working with major law firms has afforded them a deep understanding of M&S attorneys’ requirements when it comes to their escrow and agency needs, as well as the competitive landscape."
