Citi Private Bank has appointed Ida Liu, its North America Asian Clients Group head, as its new global market manager for New York.

Liu, who will assume the new role on 9 May 2016, will be responsible for new client acquisition, increasing investments business, cross Citi partnerships and developing key external relationships.

Since 2011, Liu has headed the North America Asian Clients Group alongside holding the position of a senior private banker.

Before her spell at Citi, Liu served as global head of sales, marketing and business development for Vivienne Tam, and also at Merrill Lynch’s investment banking unit in New York and Hong Kong.

Liu will report to Citi Private Bank North America head Tracey Warson.
