Charles Stanley has hired two new members for its financial planning division at its Birmingham office.

Nigel Goodhand joins from the Royal Bank of Scotland, where he specialised in advising high net worth individuals in investment planning and family protection. Previous to this, he worked at Bradford and Bingley, and Laurentian Life.

Prithpal Saimbi joins the financial planning private client team as a senior paraplanner. His previous experience includes Clay Rogers & Partners and prior to this he was at RSM Tenon.

Charles Stanley saw its revenue for the first three months to 30 June jump 31% to £36.9m ($56.8m), compared to £28.2m for the same period last year.
