Centaur Fund Services, an Irish provider of independent fund administration and regulatory services, has expanded its presence in the US by launching a new office in New Jersey.

The new location is the ninth in the firm’s global network, with four serving the US market.

The US expansion is the result of increased demand for independent fund administration solutions from hedge and private equity funds in North America, Centaur said.

At the same time, the firm also hired Mase Kazemi and Leslie Dewhurst, who will spearhead the US business, alongside the firm’s US CEO Des Johnson.

Kazemi will serve as the head of fund accounting at Centaur US, while Dewhurst will serve as the head of investor services.

Kazemi has an experience of over 12 years in portfolio accounting and operations, while Dewhurst has an experience of more than a decade in investor services on the administrator and client side.

“This major expansion, coupled with the addition of two experienced professionals, highlights Centaur’s commitment to the U.S. hedge fund and private equity markets. I am thrilled to welcome Mase and Leslie to our growing New Jersey team and we look forward to expanding our U.S. client base together,” Johnson noted.

The latest office opening comes close on the heels of the firm’s office launch in Maynooth, Ireland.
