Martín is moving to CaixaBank CIB as managing director of the representative offices in the international area.

Llamas will report to Jordi Mondéjar, the bank’s head of retail, private and business banking.

He has 30 years of experience in private banking and wealth management, with almost 20 years at CaixaBank.

He began his career at AB Asesores and Morgan Stanley before joining CaixaBank.

During his time at the bank, he has held several senior roles, including managing director of Barclays Wealth during the Barclays integration process, along with commercial management posts in private and premier banking.

Most recently, he led the Business unit at CaixaBank wealth management.

The restructuring also changes the reporting line for CaixaBank asset management.

Previously part of the wealth management division, it will now report directly to Mondéjar. He will also join CaixaBank asset manager’s board of directors as vice president.

Additionally, Laura Comas, head of wealth value proposition, will join CaixaBank wealth management Luxembourg as a director, replacing Martín.

Llamas will also take on the roles of joint director of real estate wealth and director of OpenWealth.

Separately, Martín has been appointed managing director of CaixaBank’s representative offices.

She will oversee the co-ordination of the bank’s international network of representative offices, which includes 18 centres in 16 countries.

The network sits within the area led by Iñaki Badiola, director of corporate & investment banking.

CaixaBank said the reorganisation comes amid growth during a period of change in the sector, shaped by new technology, new competitors and rising demand for more complex wealth services.

In April, CaixaBank wealth management passed €200bn ($230.49bn) in assets under management, including individual clients with more than €500,000 held at the bank.

That was 7.7% higher than at the end of 2025. The client base rose to 193,000, up by 19,000 from December 2025, an increase of 11%.
