C. Hoare & Co, the UK’s oldest privately owned bank, has hired Hayley Layt as a relationship manager as part of its expansion in Cambridge.

Layt will work in the Cambridge office, continuing the firm’s expansion in the region.

The appointment follows the opening of the C. Hoare & Co’s Cambridge office in March 2019, the bank’s first outside of London.

Previously, Layt was a director of client management at RBS, where she spent over 15 years. Furthermore, she held roles at Alliance & Leicester and HSBC.

In January, C. Hoare & Co hired Diana Brightmore-Armour as an addition to its board.

Brightmore-Armour has a wealth of experience in the field. A FTSE 100 board member, she is currently a director of The Berkeley Group Holdings.

Prior to this role, she was CEO to the European branches of Australia and New Zealand Bank (ANZ).

Brightmore-Armour represented ANZ at the Board of Association of Foreign Banks and as a Member of the Worshipful Company of International Bankers.

Previously, she was previously CEO of the Corporate Bank at Lloyds Banking Group.

Before entering the banking sector, she worked for the Coca-Cola Company for 13 years in predominantly treasury roles.
