BTG Pactual has appointed José Antonio Blanco as new general manager for Peru.

In his new role, Blanco will oversee BTG Pactual’s growth strategy in Peru, where the bank now offers investment banking, asset management, wealth management and sales & trading services.

Blanco joined BTG Pactual from Citibank del Peru, where he worked for 20 years, most recently serving as general manager for the past three years.

In addition, Blanco is currently president of InPERU and has previously served as a board member of the Association of Banks, president of the Electronic Clearinghouse and of CAVALI, as well as a founding member of the Peruvian Finance Association.
