British wealth manager Brewin Dolphin has agreed to purchase Basingstoke-based advisory business Aylwin for an undisclosed amount.

As part of the deal, two planners and support staff from Aylwin will join Brewin Dolphin’s Winchester outpost.

Aylwin founder David de Krester: “I am pleased to tell you that my co-director Derek Langton and I will continue to look after your financial planning needs from Brewin Dolphin’s new offices in Winchester.

“In future, you will benefit from the broader support and resources of Brewin Dolphin including the insight of their in-house research team.”

Krester will now head Brewin Dolphin’s new Winchester branch. The transaction is expected to close next year.

Brewin Dolphin regional director Jonathan Tweedie said: “We are delighted to welcome David and his team to Brewin Dolphin and to announce David as head of our new Winchester office.
