British law firm Bond Dickinson has recruited two partners and associated teams from the Osborne Clarke Private Client and Real Estate teams, as part of its strategy to enhance the capability of their national private wealth team.

Mark Woodward and Robert Drewett have joined the firm as Partners along with other lawyers. Christopher Kerr-Smiley, previously associate director at Osborne Clarke, joined the Bond Dickinson team as a director in Bristol.

The recruitment is part of the firm’s plans for further growth following the merger between Bond Pearce and Dickinson Dees that led to their creation as a £100 million firm in May this year.

The new recruits will be based in the firm’s Bristol and London offices. The team will cover all aspects of private client work including wills, trusts, inheritance tax, estate planning and philanthropy.

The team will also advise business owners, entrepreneurs and landowners as well as institutional trust and estate service providers and charities.

David Dale, head of private wealth, commented: "This is a fantastic opportunity to significantly expand our wealth management expertise with the acquisition of a superb team with an excellent track record and reputation in the market place. This move will further enable us to service our clients in the South West, and we are delighted to welcome the team to the firm."
