BNY Mellon has named Filippo Santilli as new head of Asia-Pacific sales and relationship management for its global collateral services business.
Based in Hong Kong, Santilli will report to Jonathan Spirgel, executive vice-president – global collateral services in New York alongside Dominick Falco, head of global collateral services – Asia-Pacific, according to The Asset.
Santilli, who has over 15 years of institutional sales experience, has joined BNY Mellon in 2009 most recently serving as managing director of liquidity services for the Asia-Pacific.
Prior to joining BNY Mellon, Santilli worked at Lehman Brothers Asset Management as a product specialist in Hong Kong, where he was responsible for building the firm’s liquidity business.
Falco said: "Global regulation has also sharpened the focus of brokers and investors on the importance of global collateral pools and the mobility of collateral across borders.
"Accordingly, we are expanding our team and investing in our collateral services infrastructure to ensure broker-dealers have the ability to collateralize transactions, both domestic and cross-border, securely and transparently," he added.
