BNY Mellon Investment Management has hired Denis Gambi as director of institutional business in Australia.
In his new role, he will focus on institutional, corporate, government and UHNW segments, providing investment solutions from the company’s suite of investment boutiques.

Gambi will report to Phil Filippelis, country head of BNY Mellon Investment Management Australia.
He has more than 25 years of experience in the financial services industry and held various roles including head of product at AMP Capital, head of premium market sales, capital markets at Westpac Bank, and head of sales and originations at Lehman Brothers.
Gambi began his financial services career at Citibank where he served in various positions, including head of foreign exchange and head of investments and wealth management.
Commenting on the appointment, Filippelis said: “Our Australian business is experiencing great momentum particularly across private debt, alternatives and multi-asset strategies. Denis joins us at a time where a number of our specialist boutique capabilities are in broad demand amongst institutional investors.”
