BNP Paribas hires new US institutional business development head

BNP Paribas Asset Management has named Neil Johnson as the new head of US institutional business development.

Based in New York, Johnson will head the firm’s US business development strategy with asset owners in all market segments and develop the firm’s US product strategy. He will report to the firm’s North America CEO Daniel Klein.

Johnson most recently served at RobecoSAM, where he spent around seven years working in various roles including head of sales US and head of global clients and marketing.

His 30-year financial career also includes stints at Credit Suisse Asset Management, AIG Global Investment Group, Neuberger Berman, SEI and Hamilton & Company.

“Neil brings a wealth of experience to this position having worked for both asset managers and investment consulting firms. He has significant experience building relationships with institutional investors and developing solutions to meet their organisation’s investment needs.  He also has a background in sustainable and responsible research and investing, an important component of BNPP AM’s corporate culture and investment processes,” Klein stated.
