BNP Paribas Asset Management (BNPP AM) has named Sandro Pierri as the new global head of client group, its worldwide sales and marketing unit.

Pierri will assume the new responsibility in September 2017 and will also join the company’s executive committee. He will be based in London, reporting to the firm’s CEO Frederic Janbon.

Pierri previously had a 10-year stint at Pioneer Investments, where he served as the CEO from 2012 to 2015.

Before joining Pioneer in 2004, he worked at ING Investment Management in Italy holding various roles including CEO of retail for Italy.

“He brings a wealth of experience in the global asset management industry, notably in sales, and he will be instrumental in supporting our development strategy to become a leading provider of quality investment solutions for individual, corporate and institutional investors,” Janbon said.
