The transaction expands the River Valley network to $2.4bn in client assets.

The platform now operates with 44 staff across locations in Ohio, Kentucky, and South Carolina.

Bluespring originally created River Valley in July 2026 by combining Joule Financial and Ritter Daniher Financial Advisory.

The addition broadens the group’s regional reach across the Ohio River Valley.

Whitaker-Myers developed out of the Whitaker-Myers Insurance Agency, an enterprise established in Wooster in 1869.

Matthew Harris and John-Mark Young launched the wealth management arm roughly a decade ago with two advisers, later expanding the workforce to more than 20 people.

The advisory firm caters to clients at different stages of life, centring its financial planning models on disciplined saving, debt elimination, and faith and family values.

Under the agreement, Bluespring will provide operational, compliance, and technology infrastructure to support succession planning and future firm expansion.

Bluespring Wealth business development head Josh Bartholomew said: “Whitaker-Myers is exactly the kind of firm we want to bring into Bluespring Wealth: deeply rooted in its community, focused on developing the next generation, and committed to serving clients for the long term.

“Their addition strengthens our presence in an important market while advancing our broader strategy of bringing together firms with shared values and a long-term vision.”

In May, Bluespring Wealth agreed to acquire Synthesis Wealth Planning, a Kestra Financial-affiliated advisory firm based in Morristown, New Jersey.
