BetaShares, a provider of exchange traded funds (ETFs) in Australia, has launched a new office in Brisbane, Queensland.
BetaShares CEO Alex Vynokur said: “The opening of the new office in Brisbane is a great milestone for the business and reflects our strong commitment to education and client service across the country.”
At the same time, the firm also made several senior hires across the nation. Craig Higson has been named as the firm’s national manager for adviser services.
Higson most recently served as self managed super fund (SMSF) solutions manager at SuperConcepts. He previously also served as regional manager of Queensland at Russell Investments.
Moreover, BetaShares recruited Tamas Calderwood as the national manager for adviser services for its Sydney office.
Calderwood joins from MSCI, where he held the role of vice president for client coverage. He previously also had stints at CIBC World Markets and Bloomberg.
The firm also appointed Blair Modica as the new business development manager for its Melbourne office. Modica formerly served as a senior associate at Macquarie Bank.
“Our latest appointments reflect the growth of our business and increased client servicing demand across the country, and brings additional strength and experience to our already well-credentialed team,” Vynokur noted.
