Bank of Singapore (BOS), the private banking unit of OCBC Bank, has named Richard Hu as the market head for its Greater China operations.

In the new role, Hu will be tasked with spearheading a team of managers to develop client relations and new capabilities.

He will report to BOS Hong Kong branch CEO and global market head for Greater China and North Asia Derrick Tan.

Hu most recently served at Avenue Asset Management, where he was the founding partner and managing director.

Besides, he worked as the group head of the Greater China business at Julius Baer.

Furthermore, Hu served as the business head of North Asia and market head for China and Taiwan onshore and offshore team at HSBC Private Bank.

He served in leadership positions at these firms, with responsibility for the Greater China market.
