AXA Investment Managers (AXA IM) has hired Isabelle Scemama as CEO of AXA IM – Real Assets, replacing Pierre Vaquier who is leaving the firm to pursue other interests.
Scemama most recently served as CEO of AXA REIM SGP, the French regulated entity of AXA IM – Real Assets, with responsibility for the funds group. She joined AXA IM in 2001 to head real estate fund structuring and financing.

The company also appointed Heidi Ridley as CEO of AXA IM Rosenberg Equities and Kathleen Houssels as global CIO, replacing Jeremy Baskin who is leaving the firm. Both Ridley and Houssels service will take up their new roles on 1 March 2017.
Scemama and Ridley will report to AXA IM CEO Andrea Rossi and Houssels will report to Ridley.
Ridley, who joined AXA IM in 2003 to lead AXA IM – Rosenberg Equities’ mutual fund business in the US, previously served as global COO and chief of staff for AXA IM – Rosenberg Equities since 2011.
She also held various roles in the company, including head of institutional sales and product development for North America, global head of investment strategy and communications.
