Rollinson Smith Insurance Brokers, RSIB, a community broker with a substantial presence in London and other parts of the nation, and serving the regions of Shropshire, Staffordshire, West Midlands, and North Wales, has been bought by Ardonagh Advisory.

Established in 1974, RSIB provides both personal and commercial lines. Its primary product offerings are Fleet, Motor Trade, and Commercial Combined.

The 26-person team currently works out of Telford, with a second location serving clients in North Wales in Colwyn Bay, Conwy.

Chris Hartley, managing director, remains in charge of the company.

Phil Bayles, Ardonagh advisory chief commercial officer, said: “Rollinson Smith is a fitting example of the kind of high-quality regional broker we seek to bring into Ardonagh Advisory. Chris and team are set to both expand our geographical reach in the Midlands and complement our existing service propositions.”

Hartley added: “Having celebrated 50 years of trading, the Ardonagh Advisory platform is the ideal home for the next chapter of Rollinson Smith. It brings significant opportunities for our longstanding team to grow and collaborate as part of a globally recognised broking collective and in turn deliver the very best service to clients across Shropshire, Staffordshire, West Midlands, and North Wales.”
