US-based company PayPal Holdings’s IT hiring an increased 3.3% in May 2021 when compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics.
The company’s overall hiring activity an increased by 15.04% in May 2021 when compared with April 2021.
IT jobs claimed a 38.61% share in the company’s total hiring activity in May 2021, and recorded a 5.49% down over the last three-month average share.
Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers tops PayPal Holdings IT hiring in May 2021
Out of the total IT job titles posted by PayPal Holdings, Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers emerged as the leading occupation, recording a share of 78.43% in May 2021, and a 21.21% growth over April 2021, while Database and Network Administrators and Architects claimed a share of 8.82% in May 2021, and registered a 28.57% an increase. Computer and Information Research Scientists held a share of 7.6% in May 2021, a 27.91% drop from April 2021.
North America drives IT hiring at PayPal Holdings
North America emerged as the leading region in the global banking and payments IT hiring activity in May 2021 with a 47.79% share, which marked a 21.88% growth over the previous month.
Asia-Pacific stood next with 46.81%, registering a 9.77% month-on-month growth. South & Central America was the third leading region with a 2.94% share and a 50% growth over April 2021.
In the fourth place was Europe with a share of 1.72% and a month-on-month an increase of 75%.Middle East & Africa stood at the bottom of the table with a share of 0.74%, registering a 57.14% drop over the previous month.
The US commanded a leading presence in the region’s banking and payments industry IT hiring activity with a 47.3% share in May 2021, a 21.38% growth over April 2021. India featured next with a 33.82% share, down 14.29% over the previous month.Singapore recorded a 6.62% share, an increase of 440% compared with April 2021.
Junior Level jobs lead PayPal Holdings IT hiring activity in May 2021
Junior Level jobs held a share of 78.19%, down by 0.62% from April 2021. Mid Level positions with an 18.38% share, a growth of 240.91% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Entry Level job ads with 3.43% share, up 40% over April 2021.
