Notably, cybersecurity was one of the most frequently referenced themes in Q2 2023, ranking highest in terms of mentions, ahead of financial wellness and batteries, according to GlobalData.
Of the top leading companies in the banking & payments industry, Itau Unibanco Holding had the greatest increase in references for cybersecurity in Q2 2023, compared with the previous quarter. GlobalData identified 65 cybersecurity-related sentences in the company's filings - 0.8% of all sentences - and an increase of 20% in Q2 2023 compared with Q2 2022. KKR’s mentions of cybersecurity rose by 62% to 60 and Nexi’s by 103% to 59 and Mastercard’s by 68% to 57 and Public Bank’s by 19% to 50.
