British financial advice firm Rawlinson & Hunter has secured a trust license from the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS).

The licence will allow the company to offer an array of private client services, including trust structuring and trust administration service in the Island city.

Peter Milnes, who established the company’s Singapore office in 2013, will lead the Trust unit in alongside John Chew, who was recently transferred from Rawlinson & Hunter (BVI) – where he served for the last eight years.

Chew is an accountant and TEP practitioner and has been in the financial services industry for more than three decades.

Milnes said: Having our Singapore Trust licence allows us to provide our full suite of private client services. It shows our commitment to our clients in the region and cements our view that Singapore is an important and strategic jurisdiction for the global wealth planning industry.”

The company noted that its Singapore office customers will continue to benefit from Rawlinson & Hunter International network.
