BNP Paribas wealth management unit reported a 7.1% increase in assets under management in its 2012 third quarter results year-on-year.

Asset inflows jumped to €265bn ($338bn) from €247bn reported in September 2011.

The French bank said that good asset inflows in wealth management where seen in its domestic markets and in Asia.

Down hill slip for revenue

There was, however, a 4.5% drop in revenue year-on-year in the bank’s wealth and asset management division.

Revenue fell to €682m in the third quarter of 2012 from €714m on a year-on-year basis.

Operating income also slid to €164m from €170m reported at the same time last year.

Pre tax income declined slightly to €180m from €183m in the third quarter of 2011.
