Julius Baer has reshuffled its executive leadership across the Middle East and Africa, naming Jean Pierre Dib and Philipp Kleinschnittger as co-heads for the region.

Operating respectively from Dubai and Zurich, both executives report to region emerging markets head Rahul Malhotra.

The two appointees take charge of regional strategy and client services.

Their brief connects domestic hubs in Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Manama, and Johannesburg to offshore centres based in Zurich, Geneva, and London.

Régis Burger, formerly head Middle East & Africa, has transitioned to the newly established post of chief operating officer, region emerging markets.

Burger additionally remains CEO and senior executive officer (SEO) of Julius Baer (Middle East), maintaining direct regulatory oversight of the DFSA-regulated entity.

Prior to this appointment, Dib spent over a decade working within the private bank’s Middle East operations, primarily managing accounts and expanding client coverage throughout the GCC and adjacent territories.

His background spans over 20 years in senior private banking, concentrating on services for UHNW individuals, entrepreneurs, and family offices.

He latterly held the post of senior client partner in Dubai.

Kleinschnittger also has more than two decades in international banking, having joined the bank in 2016.

His roles included heading CEO Office Initiatives, Business Technology Front, Middle East & Africa Switzerland, UK & South Africa, as well as chairing Julius Baer South Africa.

Julius Baer established its initial presence in the region in 2004, operating as the first wealth manager licensed in the Dubai International Financial Centre.

The institution opened an office in Johannesburg in 2018, established Julius Baer (Abu Dhabi) in December 2025, and reached 50 years of operations in Bahrain in 2026.
