BNP Paribas has entered the wealth management market for Nordic clients and appointed Stina Norrhede as the wealth head for the region.

Norrhede joins from SEB, where she was most recently head of professional family office.

She will oversee the development of BNP Paribas’ regional strategy, establish a local team, and pursue business development and client acquisition across the Nordic markets.

The bank’s expansion will target ultra-high-net-worth individuals, entrepreneurs and family offices.

“Her deep expertise and longstanding relationships will be instrumental as we expand our wealth management presence across the region.”

BNP Paribas plans to combine its corporate & institutional banking business with its global wealth management platform.

The structure will offer entrepreneurs, investors and family offices access to investment banking and tailored wealth advisory services.

BNP Paribas wealth management international markets CEO Pierre Ramadier said: “We are delighted to bring our global Wealth Management platform to the Nordic markets, further strengthening our position among Entrepreneurs & Families across Europe. As clients’ needs become increasingly complex, particularly in areas such as private markets, sophisticated financing solutions and multi-generational planning, our model is designed to provide tailored and holistic support.”
