Swiss wealth management platform Avaloq has appointed John Wilson as its new UK managing director, further expanding its presence in the region.
Wilson will be bringing over 20 years of industry and consulting experience to the role. Prior to being appointed managing director, Wilson led the company’s UK and Ireland delivery function.

In his new role, he will be responsible for growing Avaloq’s UK client base and promoting the company’s product range, including its new Engage, Insight and Wealth lines. Launched in 2020, they are three different digital platforms designed to help wealth managers take advantage of clients’ social media use to engage with relationship managers, offer increasingly personalised services and advanced data analytics respectively.

Avaloq has been gradually expanding its presence in the UK over the past few years, with a total of 160 staff currently based in the region. Its client base includes Barclays, HSBC, Canaccord Genuity and Coutts. Recent client successes include Tilney Smith & Williamson and Brewin Dolphin.
