AXA Investment Managers (AXA IM) has appointed Mark Hargraves as new global head of AXA IM Equity, effective 1 January 2022.

AXA IM Equity is a newly created platform comprising the firm’s fundamental and quantitative equity capabilities.

Hargrave, who is currently global head of AXA IM Framlington Equities, will retain his current portfolio management responsibilities. He will be based in London.

In connection with new platform, AXA IM has revamped its quantitative capabilities under Equity Quant Investing (Equity QI) brand, replacing Framlington.

AXA IM Core Investments, led by Hans Stoter, will now include three platforms, namely, AXA IM Equity, AXA IM Fixed Income and AXA IM Multi-Asset.

Paul Flavier, who is currently global head of AXA IM Rosenberg Equities, will continue to oversee the Equity QI team.

Mark Hargraves

Mark Hargraves is a fund management veteran with experience in managing European, EAFE and global equity portfolios.

Hargraves joined AXA IM as a portfolio manager in 2000 and was promoted as head of global of strategies two years later.

In 2019, he was appointed head of AXA IM Framlington UK and become the global head of AXA IM Framlington Equities last year.

Prior to joining AXA IM, Hargraves worked at Hambros Fund Management.
