British asset management company Schroders has appointed Saida Eggerstedt to the newly created role of head of sustainable credit.

Most recently, Eggrestedt was head of corporate, financials at Deka Investments.

She will report to Schroders’ Europe head of credit, Patrick Vogel.

She will take up the new and will work with the Schroders’ Sustainability team that is led by global head of stewardship, Jessica Ground.

Commenting on the appointment, Vogel said: “Saida is an experienced and accomplished investor in sustainable credit. She will further enhance the strength of the team by providing a specialist sustainable investment lens, and also as an architect in our range of sustainable credit strategies.”

Ground added: “We have been integrating ESG into our investment processes for twenty years, viewing it as an essential to securing long-term, sustainable returns in a continually changing investment environment for our clients.

Previously, she worked at Standard Life Investments where she managed credit portfolios. She also held the position of head of high yield at Union Investment.

Last week, Schroders hired Antonia Lim as its head of quantamental investments.

This month, Schroders also made several changes to its senior leadership team. The changes include the appointment of Charles Prideaux as the global head of investment.
