Swiss banking group Credit Suisse has expanded its UK team with five hires from UBS.

Among the new hires are Alistair Conner, appointed COO of Credit Suisse UK and the UK market area.

Alistair served as the COO at UBS Wealth Management UK, where he has worked since 2006. His other roles at UBS have included chief of staff and head of business and sales management.

He previously served at RBS Group.

In the new role, Alistair will report to Credit Suisse UK CEO Christian Berchem.

Credit Suisse also appointed Helen McDonald as a director in the UHNW team and UK head of foundations and impact advisory services.

McDonald will be responsible for developing the coverage of charity and foundation clients.

Besides, she will be tasked with developing the impact advisory and finance offering for international wealth management.

McDonald was the head of charities, foundations and social investing at UBS Wealth Management.

She also worked at Goldman Sachs Asset Management.

Additionally, Credit Suisse hired director David Fagan, as well as vice-presidents Brad Werner and James Houstoun.

At UBS, the trio was responsible for developing the UK resident non-dom (RND) business.

In the new role, they will manage RND and financial services professionals in the private equity and hedge fund space.
