Credit Suisse Group has named John Knox, co-head of investment banking, as the new CEO for its Australia business, effective from 1 May 2015.
Knox will replace Rob Stewart, who will be departing from Credit Suisse to join Global Infrastructure Partners, an infrastructure-focused private equity fund.

Knox will also become the sole head of investment banking in Australia and will report to Credit Suisse Asia Pacific CEO Helman Sitohang.
As country CEO, he will be responsible for driving the development of all Credit Suisse businesses in Australia, including the private banking and wealth management, and investment banking divisions.
Knox has been associated with Credit Suisse since 1995 and has worked closely with Stewart as part of his role as co-head of the investment banking department from 2007.
Sitohang said: "John has been a significant contributor to the establishment of our highly successful integrated banking platform in Australia."
