Deutsche Bank has named Javeed Ameen as its new chief operating officer (COO) for the Middle East and Africa.
Ameen will be based in Dubai and will be responsible for managing the bank’s infrastructure functions across all businesses and legal entities in the region.

He will report to CEO Middle East and Africa Ashok Aram, and global chief operating officer regional management Karl von Rohr.
Ameen joined Deutsche Bank Group in 2001, where he served various regional management roles including chief country officer Deutsche Bank Mauritius and chief operating officer Deutsche Bank India.
He held the position of chief operating officer role at Deutsche Bank Saudi Arabia since 2008. Since late 2013, he played a significant role in integrating Deutsche Bank Pakistan with the broader MEA region.
Ameen will replace Philippe Vollot in his new role, with the latter now named as global head of regulatory relationship and coordination for government & regulatory affairs.
