AMP Capital has appointed Damian Stanley as prinicipal of investments for its infrastructure equity team.

Stanley will be based in London and will manage transactions in the region for the global infrastructure platform and AMP Capital’s institutional investors. He will report to Simon Ellis, who is AMP Capital’s head of origination Europe.

Stanley has experience in leading transactions and managing assets within the infrastructure space, with a particular focus on the transport sector.

Stanley most recently served as a director on the Australian board of Whitehelm Capital and chairman of its UK subsidiary board.

Earlier, he also has stints as head of infrastructure investment advisory, Europe, Middle East and Africa at Morgan Stanley as well as managing director, Macquarie Infrastructure and Real Assets at Macquarie Group in Sydney and London.
