Tilney for Intermediaries has appointed Mark Cole as its new director of financial intermediaries.

Cole will be responsible for improving relationships with advisers and expanding the firm’s presence in the intermediary outsourcing market.

He will be based in the group’s Birmingham office in the new role, reporting to head of Tilney for Intermediaries Miles Robinson.

Commenting on Cole’s appointment Robinson said: "Mark joins the firm at an important time as we look to expand our reach to an even greater number of financial planners. As well as aiding our work in building Tilney’s client bank, his skills in deepening existing partnerships will be of upmost importance."

Cole joined Tilney from Cofunds, where he most recently was head of business partnerships and was responsible for growing key client accounts.

Before that, he served for four years at Architas, where he was responsible for generating new relationships with financial advisers. Prior to that, he served as investment strategy manager at Axa Wealth.
