Investcorp, a provider and manager of alternative investment products, has hired Sunil Gaglani as chief risk officer for its hedge funds business.
Investcorp, which has approximately $11bn in assets under management, said that Gaglani will be responsible for monitoring the risks of investments made across the firm’s hedge funds business including fund of funds, single managers, special opportunity and alternative beta portfolios.

He will report to Lionel Erdely, head and chief investment officer of the hedge funds group. Gaglani will also be a member of the firm’s Hedge Funds Investment Committee.
Gaglani, who has approximately 20 years of industry experience, most recently served as the head of risk at Mariner Investment Group. Prior to that, he was with Cantor Fitzgerald.
