The new Ucits fund, dubbed Skagen Focus, intends to offer investors exposure to the risk/reward potential of value-biased investing in global markets, investmenteurope.net reported.
The fund, available in the UK to professional investors as well as distributors, will be managed by Filip Weintraub and Jonas Edholm.
Weintraub joined Skagen in 2001, having started his career as an analyst at Albina Fuel. He also served in senior positions at Crabbe Huson Group and LF Capital.
He has re-joined Skagen from Labrusca Family Office, which he set up in 2010.

Edholm held roles in risk management, asset allocation and as an active value-biased stock-picker, on the long as well as the short side.
Similar to other Skagen funds, the portfolio managers of the new fund will assess companies from the bottom up.
They will focus on analysing the traits of individual stocks, with an aim to identify those with hidden value, and the potential triggers for that value to be recognised by the market over the medium to long term.
