UK-based Jupiter Asset Management has appointed Nick Ring as its new global head of distribution.

In the new capacity, Ring will replace Simon Hynes, who left Jupiter in 2014. Ring will be responsible for directing the firm’s global sales effort as well as developing and implementing business strategy.
He will assume the new role at Jupiter in September, and will also join Jupiter’s executive committee.
Most recently, Ring served in the position of global head of product at Columbia Threadneedle, where he had been working since 2008.
Before joining Columbia Threadneedle, Ring worked as managing director and COO at Northern Trust. His career also includes stints at KPMG, Gartmore Fund Managers and Prudential.
