Intesa Sanpaolo is not interested in acquiring Swiss private banking group Julius Baer, said the Italian lender’s CEO Carlo Messina.
"Julius Baer is an excellent company but we’re not interested in it," Messina was quoted by Reuters as saying.

In May this year, Messina in an interview to Bloomberg Television said Intesa Sanpaolo intends to buy an international private bank, which has a market value similar or lower than its own unit.
